Exclusive: The Sound of Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band Revealed!

They love that curtain!

Without posting a single sound clip on their vintage curtained MySpace page, Seattle's oddly and awesomely named Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band have generated some good buzz. How could that be, you ask? Well, the band decided to go a different promotional route by representing themselves with a pair of silly and off-beat PSA-styled viral films, Homeostasis and Borin,' both of which did not include any of the band's actual music. Personality, and suspense, go a long way indeed.

Weird marketing tactics aside, the real question is, are these guys any good at, you know, making music? Well, the aptly titled "Who's Asking?" from their debut EP Weepy (say it 5 times fast for a guaranteed laugh) answers that question in dynamic fashion. All I have to say is fans of Man Man, Wolf Parade and The Kinks get-ta downloading!

No release date has been scheduled for the EP, but the band would be glad to keep ya posted.
