Flying Nun Records

Flying Nun Records is a New Zealand label formed in 1981 that has been home to dozens of quirky, lo-fi, poppish, rocky- electronic acts like The Clean, The Bats, the Pin Group and most of Chris Knox's endeavors.

This is the 1981 video for The Clean's "Tally Ho"

I wanted to share something from The Bats EP "and here is...Music for the Fireside" but all I could scrounge up was this photo of the album cover. If any of this Kiwi stuff appeals to you, look for this record. Just so you know, six out of the seven tracks on this album do appear on Compiletely Bats, which is a reissue of their first three EP's.

A live Tall Dwarves performance of "All my Hollowness to You"

For those who love the Joy Division sound, listen to this mp3 of the first ever Flying Nun release "Ambivalence" by The Pin Group. Siltbreeze Records has copies for sale.
