I Suffer For My Music, Now It's Your Turn - The Legendary Stardust Cowboy
Doing a bit of research on the Legendary Stardust Cowboy brought me to his Wikipedia page. The introductory sentence for his entry is so perfect, I couldn't have said it better myself. "The Legendary Stardust Cowboy, born Norman Carl Odam on October 10, 1947 in Lubbock,Texas, is an incoherent rock and roll performer who invented an early example of the genre that came to be known as psychobilly in the 1960s. While often considered a novelty artist, he considers himself a serious performer."
This is the kind of music one can only entertain for so long. Case in point...a live performance of "Paralyzed" from the Australian Hey, Hey, It's Saturday children's program.
Not that you would ever need to own an entire record of The Ledge's, but if you simply must acquire one for your collection, CD Roots is your place.
