Video: Jens Lekman Covers Paul Simon's "You Can Call Me Al"
One of my favorite solo artists today is Jens Lekman. On his recent tour, he has paying tribute to Paul Simon, with the song "You Can Call Me Al." On this version, Lekman strums sparsely and casually, while delivering his signature suave vocals...as if he were a Swedish Frank Sinatra. He also skips out on the chorus for most of the song explaining to his audience that, "I have always hated Chevy Chase's stupid grinning face" (referring to Paul Simon's music video for the song):
