"Lost" Brian Wilson Production From 1969 To Finally See Release

That album looks so lost...and found!

That album looks so lost...and found!

In 1969 Brian Wilson, pop genius and purveyor of all things California, recorded an album called A World of Peace Must Come with song-writer/poet Stephen John Kalinich, but the tapes, to this day, have remained lost.

Described as an album of "music and psych-poetry," the album, according to this source, will be released for the first time by Light in the Attic Records in October, even though there is no mention of it on their site. (Note: Amazon has it listed as being released on September 23rd...which to believe?)

So what to expect? Well, Kalinich used to write songs with Lindsey Buckingham in the 60s and helped write such late 60s Beach Boys gems as "Little Bird" and "All I Wanna Do." However, don't get your hopes up for Pet Sounds II or SMiLE II. (Eventhough we are staying open-minded)

Check out the tracklist and the only press release we could fine online here. And of course you can pre-order the album here.
