Not Yet Convinced That The Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne is a Genius? Watch This Video

Over the past 25 years Wayne Coyne and The Flaming Lips have played on Beverly Hills 90210 (the original one), hosted massive musical experiments in parking lots, and produced a soon to be released sci-fi B-movie. Not to mention creating fantastical music along the way.

Oh and just when you thought things couldn't get any weirder, The Lips have been courted by NBC, along with other bands, to re-interpret the networks classic "chime" bumper music (you know the one, ding-dong-ding!) AND, AS IF THAT WASN'T AWESOME ENOUGH...For the occasion Wayne has invented a new instrument. Watch him explain his creation in this vid:
