TV Magic at It's Best: Devo on Square Pegs!
In 1982-83 CBS aired the comedy Square Pegs about two dorky teenage girls trying to fit into the popular crowd in high school. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker (pre-pre-pre-Sex In the City) and Amy Linker, this is classic 80s television at its' awkwardly charming best. In a particularly memorable episode, Devo plays a New-Wave Bat Mitzvah party for Muffy, the snotty, valley girl. About 4:40 minutes into this clip, Devo appears in all of their synthesized glory.
